We are writing to follow up on last Friday’s message from the UC Office of the President (UCOP) regarding the Accellion data security incident. We have heard from many in our community asking for additional information. The Office of the President has developed a series of online FAQ’s to help address questions UC community members might have about the data breach and how they can protect their personal information.

The FAQ's are also available in Spanish.

We encourage everyone to follow the guidance outlined in Friday’s message regarding actions they can take to secure their personal and financial information.

UCOP has also set up an email account where community members can send questions about the incident that aren’t addressed in the FAQ’s. Questions may be directed to communications@ucop.edu.

We are continuing to work with the UCOP and will share all updates with the community as they are available. We sincerely apologize for any stress or anxiety this incident may be causing.
