Canvas is the campus learning management system (LMS) that houses UCSB courses and projects. Instructors are able to create and present online learning materials, administer assessments, foster student community, and more. UCSB is transitioning all courses from GauchoSpace to Canvas LMS by Fall 2023.

Collaborate: Computer Labs Available for Scheduling

Collaborate provides instructional labs, presentation, and interaction technologies in departmental and general assignment classrooms, campus wireless access to instructional services, and remote access to specialized software.

Collaborate: Digitization Services

Collaborate supports the creation of instructional digital materials for use in the classroom and on GauchoSpace sites for College of Letters and Science courses.


eGrades tracks and displays student grades, provided online by the Office of the Registrar. 


GauchoSpace houses the learning management system for UCSB courses and projects, which allows instructors to create online sites for course materials and student activities.

Instructional Development (ID)

The ID organization impacts the quality of UCSB instruction by offering services in instructional consulting, instructional evaluation, technical media production support, and technical media display support.
